Exhibition Space
The council offices and committee rooms in Amersham are visited by the public throughout the year for meetings, presentations and events, not just to pay their council tax or complain about the bins!
David Gardner, Chiltern District Council's community projects officer, has been running a pilot scheme providing an unusual platform for exhibitions by local artists. This opportunity has now been extended indefinitely. NB the hanging space isbright but not vast. Artforms could be just about anything including painting, print, photography, sculpture, mosaic, etc.
There is an opportunity to sell your work whilst it is on display. The artist will be required to insure all works exhibited if they consider that to be necessary. The Council wlll not take any responsible for loss.
How to apply
If any visual artists living and working in Chiltern District would like to be considered for an exhibition at the council offices, they should send a minimum 2 full colour images of typical examples of their work (not returnable) , and a description of what you would like to exhibit.
Email preferred: dgardner@chiltern.gov.uk
or to: The Community Projects Officer, King George V House, King George V Road, Amersham HP6 5AW.
NB All correspondence will be acknowledged but images will only be returned if you enclose an SAE.
